The Sheriffs of Tennessee are strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment rights of their citizens and have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution of the State of Tennessee, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the laws and ordinances of their counties and will fulfill that oath. The Tennessee Sheriffs' Association and the Tennessee Firearms Association co-authored the The Tennessee Handgun Permit Law in May of 1994.

How do I report a break-in in progress? PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 March 2010
During a break-in, the safety of you and your loved ones should be your primary concern, not the protection of your property. No possession is worth risking a human life.

If someone is breaking into your home, you and those in the house should leave immediately. Choose an exit, a window or door, that is safely away from the intruder. Go to a neighbor's home and dial 9-1-1.
